L.A. Reid re-stakes his claim on the infamous rapper Shyne Po. After signing him in 2004 while he was in jail, L.A. Reid recently traveled to Belize to close a deal with Shyne for anywhere from 1-5 million dollars. Reid plans on creating the forum for the heavily anticipated comeback of Shyne’s career and the distribution for Gangland Records, Shyne’s independent record label. After his former stint with Shady (clearing throat) i mean.. Badboy Records, Shyne aka Jamal Barrow is extremely happy with his new home and comments, “It is an honor and a pleasure, not just for me but for Belize. Chairman Reid is on the level of Berry Gordy, Clive Davis — the biggest music men in the history of music — and so to have a partnership with Gangland Records and Island/Def Jam is incredible for me.”
